Who’s the boss?

Sounds like a silly question doesn’t it? But in todays workforce we tend to float from project to project and report to a multitude of people. So, the question, who’s my boss, can be a real one. We are assigned to one individual to “check in” with, but the trick you need to learn now is- every one is your boss. If you keep that thought in mind and treat everyone around you with respect, then you will never be wrong. Besides, what can it hurt to shower the entire office with respect, and it is a boost to your brand.

Good day all my lovelies. What are you up to today? Me? Well, according to my surgeon I have shrunk ¾ of an inch and may shrink more after the next surgery. So that sucks, but whatevs. Image result for funny rulerI guess that means the Hubs will just be a bit taller than me. I can feel comfortable wearing heels around him. Bonus! Hey, I need to grab anything good in this situation I can. Enough about me- what do you think of me? Ha! Okay, it is time to get to work. Go find your copy of Personal Branding for Dummies (A Wiley Brand), fill your cuppa with some go juice, find a satisfying nibble and let’s do this.

I am gonna check it out and see what mine is. Hang on… my new title is-

**Dynamic Internet Associate**

Hells ya! I be awesome. But really, there are some fun things to find on the site. If you have 5 seconds to waste then, by all means, check it out.

Now, if you are working for big business, chances are you don’t get to pick your title, but you do get to determine how you are seen wearing it. You may also have the opportunity to attach a tagline to that title. Dynamic Internet Associate- Being awesome one blog at a time. Boom! Okay, maybe not the greatest example but I can’t be amazing all the time. It gets tiring. Geesh. Anyway- the tagline could be your way of standing out from all the other Dynamic Internet Associates. Just ensure whatever you choose stands with your brand.

When and if you choose a tagline, ensure that it isn’t something you would have to explain because it is so esoteric. For example- calling yourself A Global Paradigm Administrator tells us nothing of who you are and what you do. If I have to google it then it’s a hard NO.Image result for no! That’s not saying you can’t brainstorm a bit and find a unique way of titling yourself. Creativity is a good thing. These monikers can also aid in your getting hired (or not). If you are on LinkedIn (which you should be because I told you to) these interesting and standout titles can get perspective employers to take notice. Make it a one-line sales pitch. Get their attention long enough to open your profile and see what you have to offer to their company.

All right friends- It is that time. I must leave you to start reading the next book in our journey through learning. Remember- if you are following along, our next book will be:
Around the Writer’s Block by Rosanne Bane.Image result for around the writer's block

I think I have a few more posts in me for the current book which should give you plenty of time to pick up the next one. If you have suggestions for books to work through in the future post them in the comments section below. I love hearing from you and would love new titles to buy.

Until next time- stay creative and let me know what your titles are.

Polish your sparkle and just keep twirling.
Find joy. Be joy. Enjoy.
I’m always looking for new friends! 😊

I am...interesting. I am a writer, dreamer, mom, wife, veteran, friend, villain, and the wearer of many hats, but I don't look good in hats- go figure. I LOVE TO WRITE. I want to tell stories. I want to make you laugh, cry, and scare the crap out of you, and make you ask "why the hell did you do that?" I want to make you cheer my characters on or want to shake the crap out of them for things they say and/or do. I want to bring you along for the ride. Ready? Set?...READ!!!
