…”Your favorite way to spend a morning.”

Hmmm…what is my favorite way to spend the morning? Asleep. Alone. In absolute silence, while gripping a piping hot cup of coffee and staring into space wondering why I am up.

That about sums up my mornings. I advance to the dreaded inner dialogue of: Should I go to the gym? Yes, I should, but do I want to? Who wants to go to the gym this early in the morning? Argh. It’s better to go when there aren’t many people. But do I WANT to go? I pay for it… This can continue for a good half hour before I push myself out of my kitchen chair and go in search of gym clothes. All the while grumbling about sweat and weights and pain.

But once there I work like a beast and love the sweat running down my back causing a lovely puddle to form near my lower back I like to call “Swamp-ass.” Not embarrassing at all.

All this within two hours of getting up. I whine more in those two hours than I do the rest of the day.

Okay, maybe that’s not completely true. I whine while trying to decide what I’m going to write about in this blog each day, or what the next step in my novel is, or who to query, or why people don’t love me enough to come to me and tell me how amazing my stories are, and offer to publish my books, and make movies out of them and … **clears throat** What was the point I was making?

But the question was what was my favorite way to spend the morning…I’m gonna go with…asleep in a bed with 600 + thread count sheets in a luxury hotel on a beach somewhere. With a private beach outside cuz I don’t wanna see you or hear you or even know you exist. With an endless supply of fresh coffee or bottles of white wine- depends on the time of day I decide to crawl out of bed, or IF I crawl out of bed.

Yea, I think that may be my favorite morning. Now, if only I had experienced it. **Sigh**

I’ll take it!

Now…more coffee or a nap? Or both?
