The PERFECT World

…doesn’t exist.

To me, the world would be perfect if chocolate had no calories, coffee had its own spout on the kitchen sink, and it never went above 88 or below 30 degrees- EVER. But you see, my best friend hates peppermint (but I love her anyway) and my lovely neighbor prefers tea to coffee (let’s not judge) and my husband HATES parades. I don’t agree with all of these things so that means my world will never be perfect if theirs differs.

That’s the point. MY perfect world is not the same as THEIRS or even yours. But the world we share can be perfect if we didn’t insist on destroying it. Why must we dig things up or rip things down? Why must we clear away perfectly good plant life to put in different plant life based on what a single person wants? We rip down trees to build a structure that will be abandoned in a decade because it didn’t fit the needs of a person. We kill animals because they make pretty coats or decorations for our walls. We are killing perfection because it isn’t own personal version of it.

The tree in the lot next door is perfect because it was created to be what it is. We are too quick to see flaws and never take the time to admire the amazing world around us. I am perfect. I am the most perfect me you will ever find. I can change and grow and become an even better version but I will always be me. Just as you will be you. So, why can’t the world be perfect as it is?

People want to create businesses- cool. But why build a new structure when there are plenty sitting empty? Why do we throw away odd shaped food when it is perfectly safe to consume? What? Cuz it’s ugly or not the right shade of red…? Why? Why can’t we be happy with what is? Why are we so quick to destroy?

I am...interesting. I am a writer, dreamer, mom, wife, veteran, friend, villain, and the wearer of many hats, but I don't look good in hats- go figure. I LOVE TO WRITE. I want to tell stories. I want to make you laugh, cry, and scare the crap out of you, and make you ask "why the hell did you do that?" I want to make you cheer my characters on or want to shake the crap out of them for things they say and/or do. I want to bring you along for the ride. Ready? Set?...READ!!!
